Rituals!

Hi nerds!

 

In a few days I'm going to post a refresher on Ritual magic, because no one read the handout in February.

 

Also at game I'm collecting all the rituals and replacing them. We had some printing errors so a bunch of the ones that went out last game are dorked up. I'll collect old rituals, rework them to the new system, and then send them back out in June.

 

Anyway, do you have any questions about Rituals you'd like answers for?

For Final Rest, we had a fairly confusing situation, that all parties didn't know how to respond to...

 

It says that you must ring a bell for 10 minutes uninterrupted. If I knock the ritual candle over, or remove components, is that enough to "interrupt" the ritual? Or do we need to stop the bell from ringing? or both?

 

I suppose this could be said about all rituals, but the Final Rest ritual is the situation that came about.

I'll cover it again in the bigger post, but the short answer:

 

If Nature blows your candle out, you can just relight it

 

if a player interrupts your ritual (knocking candle over, attacking you, etc) then you're interrupted and need to start again. Depending on the ritual, this may mean you lose your components!
