New Necromancy Tree!

Hi team!

We're going to change necromancy.  This will take effect after Junebilee.

Right now Necro is very situational, and kind of the angsty unlikeable kid at the spell school table.  The marshals figured out most of the updates, but we need help finding the right fit for the other slot.

Here's the current tree for reference:

Here's what we have in mind:

  • Reap Spirit
  • Ghastly Visage
    • Repel Undead
    • Creeping Rot
      • Curse
      • ***New spell that makes you immune to truth effects***
        • ***4x/gameday detect life or detect undead***
        • MISSING SLOT NEED 4th LEVEL
          • Abomination - (now only effects body, not armor)
          • ***New spell, super command.  Several command spackets, and also gives you undead traits for 10 minutes.  Think like temporary immune to poison/resto, and Kill condition: Magic.  Needs ironing out


So, yeah we're looking for some input.  We want something that's not super situational.  Necromancy is generally attached to The Stranger, so something from her sphere of influence would make sense too: http://www.kingdomsofnovitas.net/wiki/pmwiki.php?n=Setting.Thestranger

- Spell that prevents removal/transfer/damage to the spark.

- Spell to give poison effect to other spells for x duration. Ex: change slaying swarm from 4 magic slay to 4 poison slay.

-Spell that lets you raise a dead ally or monster for ten minutes then afterwards the end up dead again ( can not have body healed during that ten minutes as if undead )

A spell in which the caster lays their hands on a reaped corpse and will learn the identity of the reaper.

Spell is No Effected if the spark has already been sent to The Well.

The main reason ghastly visage is not great is because npc's will disregard the spell and go for just killing the pc's regardless of spells.

How about moving Memory Loss to necromancy, since the Stranger peels away memories before going to the Well.

Just a thought- the spell that makes you immune to truth effects makes the the compulsion ritual Perfect Deceit pretty inefficient. It would be less useful even, as it could be cast quickly and situationally. Lots of overlap.

EDIT: looks like the link above does take you to the new updated Necromancy Tree. 

On the Wiki, Brackish Boon still has the old "Related Calls" section from Sanctify that needs to be updated.

I like the new skills but can someone explain how Enfeeble is different than Silence? Maybe you should tack on something extra, like "causes Disease".
Otherwise Silence seems better for half the cost, unless I'm missing something.

BB is 10 Min vs 1 min with Silience

Gets around Mind Blank.

Lets them still talk so its also an effective "Truce Maker" (No weapons, Now no spells.)

Mostly the first 2.
