Creeping Rot

I do not remember if this was stated, but I was wondering if the poison damage from creeping rot Pierces armor? If not does this mean that Hand of Death and Two-steps should be called with the "Poison Pierce" descriptor?

Creeping Rot is just 4 poison.. No pierce.

Yeah Justin. I think you're confused.

Pierce is like Slay, as an additive tag you can put on damage, in addition to type and amount. This is not a necessary part of the equation.

Poison is a type. like Magic/Elvensteel/Nature/Primal/Silver/Etc.

4 is the amount.

so Creeping Rot does 4 poison.

Hand of Death does 2 poison pierce.

Slaying Swarm does 4 magic slay.

get it?

That is the way I assumed it worked. I just wanted it clarified by R&B. Mainly because, before this spell whenever one was hit by a poison tag bag one did not have to say Pierce. It was implied, because all of the thrown poison damage was Pierce(that I am aware off). So, I asked the question so I was 100% sure.

I always say "Pierce" and before that I always said "armor skipping".

not calling pierce on a piercing attack = stupid, incorrect, wrong, and borderline cheating.

If they don't call "Slay" or "Pierce" on an attack, you don't have to take the "Slay" or "Pierce" part of the effect.
