The sun was actually shining today, so here, for all of those who were on opposite shifts or couldn't see past the cloak.

I never saw it all accessorized. That helmet really does match, and the belt pouch too. Very nice! :D

Yep, the helmet and the pouch both came from Sterling this summer. I really like that pouch...

That's getting counted as 1-point armor?

Yes it is. The grey is of a similar weight to the black that Felix and I were using for our 1 point armors. It is just tanned really soft. It was assembled with waxed thread, a spade point leather needle, and an older sewing machine with metal gears. Barely.

The scaled limbs are 4-5 oz veg.

I was wondering if you hand-sewed it all...

I would have, if it had come to that. ;)

Dag armor!

Dave's on the left (Gorgeous leather, sexy mask

I'm in the middle (Helmet was initial prototype of Dave copying the RenMask, and I cleverly said "let's make it a helmet, yay!" Plus shoulders recycled from discarded Neccero shoulders, super-simple gutter bracer, and super-lame Medieval Collectibles greaves riveted onto armor-weight greaves.)

Brett's on the right (Sexy mask, double creepy for the black adds. Torso and Arms he mostly made somewhat himself, since this, he has added shoulders.

This isn't any of us, but it's a crazy sexy SCA kit belonging to a guy named Nissan Maxima

I'm still a bit of a newb when it comes to leatherworking but I finished a pair of bracers I thought were decent enough to show here.

I still have a lot to learn and need lots of practice but I'm really enjoying how much I'm learning as I work with this stuff. :D

It is done.

A couple weeks ago I pulled out the chainmaile I bought from mike for 50 bucks and sat down with it. In a few days I was able to completely repair the whole kit. Here are the results:

Can't even tell where it was torn. laugh.gif

The underarms are a bit of a patch-job, but on the whole not bad. I've never worked with the stuff before.
