Nobody bats an eye at the bottles we use now, i think test tubes wouldn't receive any negative attention either.

I'd say those should be fine, as long as you have a way to cap them. And, obviously, don't get ones with corporate logos on them.

I will warn you though that the bottles we are using now are preferred by many players because they gear that's physically crafted to hold those bottles.

the ones we use now are about 25mm diameter, just so ya know.

They do sell those too, but they are a bit more expenisve ($0.37/per on the 500 pack for----
http://www.testtubesonline.com/XL_Baby_Sod.../207-0035w.htm)

but caps are extra ($0.04/per on the 1000 pack for ---
http://www.testtubesonline.com/Caps_for_Ba.../210-0016w.htm)

***that works out to $406 before tax or shipping or whatever for 1000 bottles with caps. and they *should* fit the current size

That's significantly cheaper than the current bottles. I foresee Logistics buying those for future use - but that's a couple years off, as we just stocked up on the current ones.

Well I thought if your planning on making potions, don't you have to supply your own bottles?

Do you ever get them back at the end of game? (I figure people would hold onto them if they don't drink them, take them home with them... Potentially even lose them.)

Plus since Logistics always has to buy props, coming in as an alchemist, I thought it'd be a nifty idea to also sell Alchemy Supplies as well (Perhaps sell 2 or 3 vials for a copper piece to other people who want to use potions) this way it takes a little bit of financial burden off the group and your kinda adding a little more realism to the commerce part too.

True....there was a time when someone was selling empty potion bottles for 1 coin a piece. The magnitude of the OOG investment would be up to the individual though.

I don't have a problem supplying my own potion bottles, but I've sold about 20 potions since September and haven't gotten any of the bottles back. I'm down to 7 and won't have anymore in before next game. If we are expected to return clear bottles to logistics, shouldn't people also return colored bottles to the people who "sold" them. If they are not required to return them, can I ask that people provide bottles for the potions I sell them until I get more in. I'm hoping to pick up some Amber ones - no one has them yet so at least I'll know which ones are mine.

Yeah, I've emptied my stock of 48 (blue) since september. I just bought a new round of 48 green ones for April.

If anyone uses up a blue bottle potion I'd gladly accept it back :)

I think i might buy a bunch for dolins Junk. Should I get clear? Or do you think it might be confused as logistic property?

Part of me wants to just get clear. If they end up in logistics? I really don't care. They give me a bunch of them every event.

I've just been marking mine. They're clear bottles with an 'M' on the bottom. Should help me get them back when people are done. *crosses fingers* We'll see. :)

Aren't they still only like $0.50 a piece?

Closer to $1 a piece with shipping, if I remember correctly.

If you get two bags they're like $.73 cents each shipped. This doesn't personally bother me, but if it does, and you're selling potions, just stop giving people bottles. Give them the slip and make them provide their own bottle...

Also, look around the site. There's plenty of 1 oz bottles that are much less expensive. Yes, people who have leather potion holders made for the "standard" size will be irritated, but that's not really your problem.

The difference is 3mm or .118 inches. Less than and 1/8th of and inch.

I think dolins junk will get the ones with the balls.
