Here's some pics of the custom sword I got from Ateliers Nemesis and the sheath I made for it. I'm going to enchant the sheath with something from my Ornamenter repertoire, as soon as we figure out what slot it takes up...

It's made from a vegetable tanned belly, waterformed around the blade of the sword, and lined with blue felt. The throat is made of a separate piece of leather, with a celtic concho, lots of stamping and dyed blue. I hand-sewed the throat on after super gluing it in place. The back is all hand stitching as well. No rivets anywhere, I'm so proud of myself. :)

The hand tooling on the blue piece is sexy.
"I don't mind telling you I have no idea what any of the words in that last sentence meant. This is the problem with the youth of today: too much time inventing nonsense words, not enough time taking a bullet in the lung defending a hill. I don't have to know what the hell twitters and texting and body sprays are to understand that they're not the sort of thing men should be engaged in. Like conversations, or painting things that aren't a house.

The following is a short list of things men should be engaged in, at all times:

1. Getting a haircut
2. Yelling
3. Digesting ribs
4. Hill defense

At any rate, enjoy your pretty portraits, Fried Green Tomatoes. Don't cry all over 'em when you're painting pictures of poems tonight, or you might electrocute yourselves." -- TF Soldier.

Ivan's new belt:

Posted Image

That stuff in the background is a new sheath for Ivan's dagger (not at all happy with the one I wore in Feb) and a sheath for a sword Zach (Octavius) bought. Both have been wet molded and are drying overnight before dying, lining and sewing them.

Not to be a pest, but a scabbard for elven sword and a left-handed hanger would be really nice. :(

The hanger is cut out on my bench - it's on my list man, I'll have it at ARCON if you're going to be there. The scabbard, I haven't gotten Jim's sword from him yet. :(

Also: POST PICS! No jibba-jabba without pics!

Rich's frog, for the above Palnatoke sword:

Posted Image

It may prove to hang too low for comfort, in which case I'll take out that snap ring and just rivet the hanger to the frog with the single brass ring. You'll have to try it on and see how you like it. It's certainly more convenient with the release, though.

Here's what I've picked up for Rhavaniel

I found this book at Hobby Lobby - it's solid but neat

Here's a better look at the candles I found these ones at Michaels. They're fairly bright too!

The table itself I found in my grandmother's shed - it used to be painted eggshell white. I also found the picnic basket in there as well. The brown top is from the Christmas Tree shop.

Very nice! And none of it will be too hard to move/transport, either, so well done. :)

I heard you like props. So I put some props in your encampment, yo.

This is some of the stuff I've collected over the past winter break.

I went to a vintage shop today and picked up this jewelry case. it's pretty cool and wasn't too expensive. the large case is about 6x4x4 and it holds to smaller cases on the inside.

I also picked up a wooden plate and bowl at walmart that where pretty cheap.

Photo quality is pretty bad for some reason... but I made this as a gift for my little sisters graduation this weekend.

It's a byzantine weave bracelet. It's a little bit longer than a 20 oz pop bottle.
