Ok, aside from the obvious sole difference, they're both black leather, what's the difference?

One looks like fetish wear from a goth club. One just looks like poorly made equestrian boots.

I think they're both pretty bad.

What about something like this:

Style, man, style. The first pair are all combat-boot-y, and goth-y, and look like they belong on Milla Jovovich in one of those godawful Resident Evil movies. The second pair is far less aggressively styled, and look like the buckles serve a purpose rather than make a statement.

Ah. I rather like the gothy boots. Eh, it appears I have to relent and get something less gothy, for the LARP anyway.

I may just get them to wear out... clubbing... :P

I kinda like the ones Dan picked out. You probably wouldn't catch me wearing them, but I like em.

I also like the ones Nicole picked out. They're much more medieval.

I far prefer the ones Dave picked out except the constant attention they need and the price. I've always wanted a pair of boots like those, but I just can't see shelling out $500 for a pair of boots.

My first real introduction to the implications of Drew's hobby came when we were dating, and Drace's boots (then his wedding boots, now Motte's boots) arrived in the mail and he told me the price. I nearly died on the spot.

We ought to get 'em a display case, not wear them in the mud... <_<

You want Son of Sandlar. Catskill stuff is pretty, but those buttons look like an old-school elevator panel. I'm calling them tomorrow to get their flier again... I can't find it in my email.

Gotta divide the price by the number of years of use, darlin'.
"I don't mind telling you I have no idea what any of the words in that last sentence meant. This is the problem with the youth of today: too much time inventing nonsense words, not enough time taking a bullet in the lung defending a hill. I don't have to know what the hell twitters and texting and body sprays are to understand that they're not the sort of thing men should be engaged in. Like conversations, or painting things that aren't a house.

The following is a short list of things men should be engaged in, at all times:

1. Getting a haircut
2. Yelling
3. Digesting ribs
4. Hill defense

At any rate, enjoy your pretty portraits, Fried Green Tomatoes. Don't cry all over 'em when you're painting pictures of poems tonight, or you might electrocute yourselves." -- TF Soldier.

Here they are. I had to resize them for display here. They come 8.5" x 11"

I'll be calling them soon to see about sizes and such. There's a few pairs in there that I love, but will probably have to pass up either due to size (calf size) or price. Damn them for charging real amounts for boots!!!
