Have no personal experience with them but when it comes to larp weapons on the internet... You get what you pay for.

I think these weapons have to be much more rigid than our game allows for: this hammer below is only 25 inches end to end, weighs a pound, and only costs $20? Somethin ain't right in Denmark.

OK, I just took a look through their site, and something's super-fishy there. This place is the stereotypical LARP gear site that doesn't list any manufacturers or stats for any weapons, so it's hard to tell what you're getting. A bunch of their stuff is super-cheap, like $20 for a sword, which makes me think they're not suitable for combat. Probably something more akin to a Nerf sword, or what you'd get from a costume shop at Halloween.

Other things I recognize, but the prices are all wrong. For example, this: http://www.swordsofm...larp-sword.aspx looks JUST LIKE a Calimacil. The blade shape, in particular. But, Calimacil doesn't make a sword like that: http://www.calimacil...hortswords.html and even if they did, the price is off by like 50%. That's below what I pay for wholesale. I suppose it's possible that they've got some sweet deal with Calimacil set up for custom swords at a super-low price, but I don't believe that at all.

This thing: http://www.swordsofm...eval-sword.aspx is probably a Palnatoke Warrior Sword from their "Ragnarok" line (their budget swords), but the pommel's wrong. You can see it here (warning: have to download PDF to see catalog): http://www.palnatoke.com/ It's also too expensive for a Palnatoke - that sword should be $30 or so (and it's not worth that much, IMO).

All I'm saying is that I'd want to know exactly what the hell these things are before I bought anything from them. The whole site seems... off. Like they don't know themselves what they're selling.

Kk I just bought one of the 40$ swords (Anduril Larp Sword). I'll bring it to the fp for inspection. Worst comes to it and I can give it to my cousin for a birthday present.

the prices on there seemed really good then i read the reviews and across the board people were saying they break/ got denied by their larp for being to hard which really bites seeing as i got super excited about finding a weapon for less then 50 bucks, looks like im gonna have to work on my foamsmithing or see what our foamsmiths charge because i cant shell out 100+ bucks for a boffer right now...

As a rule of thumb, you get what you pay for. Cheap chain mail will be falling apart after a year or so at KoN

Hello Hivemind, I'm new to the KoN and was wondering if you still sold weapons as listed at the beginning of this post?

I have nothing left except a couple axes and a greatsword. I was going to just put them into game as magic items, but if you're really after a martial axe or a 50" greatsword, I can sell you one.

Actually, I might be game for the greatsword. It'd save me from making judgement calls. PM with details?

Do you all know of any amazon vendors that will pass inspection that arent boffer like? Just trying to get a basic setup to start off with but do t want to waste money on something that cant be used. Ill peruse the forum/rules and see if I cant whittle down the options but I trust experience over what I think is right any day of the week! Appreciate any help!!

The stuff to avoid is the stuff by "Hero's Edge". There is also stuff sold by "Rubies" that is of unknown quality.
