I'd agree with this if I didn't have a Powerbook G4 for seven years, 7 YEARS, with zero failures, zero issues, and zero need for an upgrade, and I do graphics work.

Or perhaps I just got lucky.

And yes, I paid our the nose for it.

You could have bought yourself a new laptop every three years instead and had more storage, faster CPU and more memory.

My computer has better specs than that apple machine, and mine's over 3 yrs old. I'm including the 52" 120 Hz HD monitor sitting on my desk in that price as well, fyi. Macs are beyond ripoffs.

If I needed it. Which I didn't. The only thing that brought my powerbook bliss to an end was a misplaced bottle of Woodchuck. That was a bad night.

I think mac is really good at making awesome bits of gadgetry.

The i-pad, though mocked a bunch is a good example. It's not a laptop, and it's not meant to be. It's mainly a device for relaxing and browsing the internet and streaming videos and playing games, to viewing ext documents.

It's great at what it is designed to do.

Dear mac. Keep on inventing expensive james bond gadgets for me to envy and mock because they are too expensive for me to afford.

If you are making computers, start targeting old people. The new generation knows the ins and outs of PC's. we don't need a system to hold our hand. smile.gif

You may have missed the point.

You can install Mac OS on a non-Apple machine, thus eliminating any claim of "ARG I HATE WINDOWS". The hardware on a non-Apple machine is often the same brand or from a more reputable manufacturer, but with higher specs for much cheaper when not purchased from Apple. Read the previous two lines.
