Looking for a tom or a floor tom from a drum set, or some other double-headed drum that will take modern heads, I can play with sticks, and I can cover with leather. Condition irrelevant, as long as it's got all it's hardware and hoops and shell aren't broken. Not worried about broken/no heads or horrible cosmetics, or even missing mount hardware on a tom or missing legs on a floor tom.


Not interested in paying more than $50 for it.

eBay has a collection of old and used drum set toms that should look more or less fine if you take the hardware off and cover them with leather. Even cooler would be to find a nice natural wood finished drum, but good luck - used is a crapshoot.

I bought one tonight for about $33 shipped. Dunno what I'm going to do about the chrome hardware though. Might paint it a copper or brass color.
